California will soon be implementing its new carbon trading system, but what impact will this have on climate change as a whole? What does the U.S. need to do to become a leader in energy efficiency? Tony Knowles, chair of the National Energy Policy Institute and former governor of Alaska, joined panelists James Sweeney, director of the Precourt Energy Efficiency Center at Stanford, and T.J. Glauthier, former deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy for a discussion on propelling energy policies and funding ahead of the game and into the future.
